Where to Find Inspiration?

7 Things That Inspire Me and Help Me Create

down

I want to share what inspires me:

1. The process itself. Taking photos brings me satisfaction. Most of the time, I leave a photoshoot in a lifted mood.

2. Art loves its audience. I enjoy sharing my work on social media. And it’s not just about photography—it’s also stories about life and travels, about people and events, and even about websites.

3. YouTube. It’s a place where you can find everything for inspiration, for learning, and of course, a place to simply switch off your mind and relax.

4. Movies and books. I love captivating films, and I enjoy reading. The biggest transformations in my life happened after reading certain books. It felt like I was discovering something that once seemed unimaginable, something from another planet, something hidden from me behind a small invisible door, or something from another world. At the same time, school—the very place where we were all taught to read—actually kills the desire both to read and to study. That’s an experience you simply need to step over.

5. People. Here I’ll quote Hermann Hesse:
“Once he said to her:
‘You are like me, you are not like most people. You are Kamala, unique and incomparable, and within your heart there is a quiet refuge, where at any time you can retreat to be with yourself—and this gift has also been given to me. Not many people have this, though everyone could.
Most people, Kamala, are like a leaf that drifts and turns in the air, flutters, and falls to the ground. Others, a few, are like stars: they follow a fixed course, no wind reaches them, they have within themselves their law and their path.’”
People who are not like fallen leaves are rare, but if you are lucky enough to meet one, you will remember it forever—and take one step closer to becoming like them.

6. Oddly enough, bad habits. Sometimes they free the mind from worries and allow you to hear your true thoughts and desires. But that’s a very slippery road. On the opposite side, there’s sports—a great tool, harder to start, but with no downsides.

7. Action. The simplest and the hardest tool for inspiration. Simple—because it’s always available, always at hand. Hard—because when inspiration is gone, it’s extremely difficult to start doing even the smallest thing. The only advice here is: just do it, little by little, step by step—the road will open to the one who walks it!
