Bali is not at all what we are used to seeing on the Internet. Some people in their videos talk about a beautiful paradise that you definitely need to visit, which is almost the goal of your whole life. Others, on the contrary, try to expose the beautiful picture.

Bali greets you with typical narrow Asian streets, with tents, shops and warungs (cafes); traffic jams from hundreds of mopeds and beaches for surfers, where you can’t really swim. All this is a little disappointing at first. But if you take a bike and go explore this island, then you can discover amazing places - beautiful beaches, volcanoes, lava fields, pine groves, waterfalls, serpentines besieged by monkeys, rice fields, streets decorated with ritual tassels, large and small temples that you won't find anywhere else, pompous and very cool clubs, parties and events for every taste and those very villas from the pictures on the Internet.

I think Bali needs to be explored, there is no point in expecting to fly straight to paradise.

I drove around the entire island, saw many cool places, lived in a hostel most of the time for about 600 rubles a day and found good friends that I miss. Bali is one of two places where real miracles happened to me, there is no other way to explain it. And that is how I remember this island. Maybe I'll come back someday.
