Is Yandex.Dzen worth using in 2026?

I conducted a month-long experiment.

down

I ran an experiment: I published one article every day for a month. I had a travel story about cycling from Laos to Thailand, spending the night in a temple on the ocean shore along the way, and getting caught in a hurricane on a mountain. There were also some twists and turns—I wasn't allowed onto the island. I thought it was an interesting story. The channel isn't new; it used to get views, but after 2022, it was abandoned due to algorithm changes. So I decided to see what's going on with Dzen now.

My Dzen channel's initial data

1. The channel had 265 subscribers at the time of the test.
2. Period from January 13 to February 3, 2026.
3. Total channel views (over previous years) - 657,057.
4. Maximum views on a single post (over previous years) - 105,953.
5. During the test, I published exclusively articles, not posts. And I was completely disappointed with Dzen! My posts received between 2 and 15 views during this period, with an average of 6-8. This suggests that the recommendation system didn't even try to launch. There's no way to even think about continuing to read them. All these views are only from existing subscribers, and even of those, it's a tiny percentage, about 6%. Agree, dropping from 100,000 views to 10 destroys any motivation to run such a channel. And most importantly, there was no progress. So, if, for example, I started with 2 views and ended up with 100, I could have estimated the dynamics and continued posting. But there was none.

I've come to this conclusion: in 2026, there's no point in joining Dzen if you want to quickly grow a channel, unfortunately. But if you have other observations, I'd be happy to discuss them on Telegram @zvandrei_channel

What could be done to improve impressions on Dzen?

1. Create a new channel and post there.
2. Or choose a longer period for periodic content creation.
3. Try posts instead of articles.

That's the experiment. Good luck with your promotion!
