Hi, let's get straight to the point. I recommend dividing your travel agency promotion strategy into two components - free and paid.

Let's start with free promotion methods

The main idea is to create content. It should be useful to your potential clients, i.e., answer their questions and address their pain points.

Two types of content:
1. Articles (Website, VK Group, Threads)
2. Short and long videos (YouTube, TikTok, Reels)

What topics should you publish content on in the tourism industry:

- Visa requirements every year;
- Reviews of places, cities, and attractions;
- How to pay, what currency to use, and where to exchange money;
- Which SIM card to buy, and where to buy it. What is the normal cost of a SIM card and internet package?
- Top 10 beaches;
- Top 10 interesting places to see;
- Top 10 restaurants;
- Russian cuisine restaurants with addresses, for those who miss food;
- What vaccinations are required to enter the country;
- What tourists should be wary of (scams, bad neighborhoods, scams);
- Where to buy food and household items;
- What medications to take and what equivalents are available in the country;
- What do you need to enter with a child;
- How to pack a suitcase - what to take on the road (checklist);
- How to navigate the airport and how to get there at home and in the vacation country;
- Carry-on and baggage rules, what you can't take with you;
- Basic phrases in the local language - "Hello" and "Thank you" :)
- Basic phrases in English;
- What camera to buy for travel;
- What movies to download on a plane;
- Shopping and souvenirs;
- Useful services - maps, taxis, food delivery, translation, etc.

Advertising is a paid way to promote a travel agency.

There's a peculiarity here: if a person is in Russia but uses a VPN, the system sees them as a resident of Germany, France, the Netherlands, or another country through which the VPN service's communication channel passes.

This means we can advertise our services to them not only on Yandex, but also on Google, for example. Google doesn't work in Russia, but it's fine elsewhere. The same applies, by the way, to advertising on YouTube (which is also part of Google Ads).

Therefore, we can use contextual advertising in both Yandex and Google. You can also launch targeted advertising on VKontakte, which will be shown to subscribers of travel groups or your competitors.

Where to start with promotion?

I recommend starting with paid promotion, i.e., advertising, but also creating content in parallel. Why is that? The point is that advertising launches fairly quickly (usually within 1 month), meaning you can reach potential customers almost immediately. Content works differently. For example, website articles can take 3 to 6 months to be indexed by search engines, meaning your page will appear there around that time (if it's well-written and your competitors haven't written a better article). It's a similar story on social media – building an audience (subscribers) isn't a quick process. The bottom line is: try all promotion channels, but start with advertising. In a year, you'll understand which source brings you the most clients, and you can prioritize it and invest more of your time in it.

Important nuances that will help you communicate with clients:
1. Your website and social media should include convenient and working contact methods. You should also respond to requests quickly, at least within 30-60 minutes. Be sure to check for errors in your phone number, email, and other contact information.
2. You should have a convenient payment system, both online and offline.
3. Keep track of your inquiries. This will help you understand the effectiveness of different promotion channels, as well as seasonal fluctuations.
