At the Bangkok airport, I met a girl who was also flying to India. When she got out into the city in Delhi, she had only 200 rupees (about 200 rubles), no dollars or foreign card to withdraw money from an ATM. And she even offered to pay a third of this amount for me in the metro, because I didn’t have those rupees at all (but I paid with a card). In the evening, she had a bus somewhere north towards the mountains. Can you imagine yourself in such a situation?)) To be honest, even for me it’s stupid!) I helped her transfer and withdraw money, because I had such an opportunity, we had lunch, she got a SIM card, and then with some cash and Internet, she went on her way. And two days later, my card didn’t work in the metro and I couldn’t buy a ticket for the train to the airport. Some kind local resident simply bought me this ticket. Imagine, I was missing only 60 rupees (the same amount of rubles), but without them I was facing a 1.5-kilometer hike in +40 with two backpacks to an ATM. That's how it works - you can help someone if you can, then someone or something will help you if you need it.
We don't understand how life works. I said it loudly, yes, ahaha :)
We know only one possible way of life that we see around us and leading which we can survive. Parents, friends, neighbors, everyone more or less lives according to the same scenario. And who do you personally know who doesn't live like that? The global attitude comes down to one thing - you must work hard all your life, giving at least 8 hours of your life every day, this is the only way it works: 8 hours for work, 8 hours for sleep, and only a third of our own life belongs to us. And if you subtract other household chores from it, then even less. Our life is wasted. We are so sucked into this tiny little world around us that we cannot even admit that it could be otherwise.
No.
I honestly admit to you that I myself still have a fear of losing something, being left without money or that something else unpleasant will happen. But my experience already contradicts these fears. Over the year in Southeast Asia, many events happened to me that can only be called a miracle. In every difficult situation, magic happened that helped me continue to live a wonderful life and even travel. You can call it magic, or you can call it opportunities that open up to those who are not afraid to start the journey.
I flew to Kuala Lumpur with only $300, managed to cross 4 countries, check in in northern Vietnam, thus I crossed Southeast Asia from south to north. And on New Year's Eve, I returned to Laos, hanging out there for 4 months, living in a hotel with a pool and paying nothing. Even without going into details, this story itself is already one big miracle.
At the same time, I was given a bike for free, I rode a buggy, sailed on a boat in Vang Vieng, an unknown Korean borrowed $50 at a bus stop, I found money on the road, took orders without investing in advertising, an Indian paid for me on the subway, because the card did not work, kind people donated and treated me to delicious food and much more.
But I am not saying that you need to live exactly like this, hitchhiking around different countries. No. I want to convey the idea that you need to live the way you want. If you don’t like something - work, people around you, the place where you live - all this can be changed. Although, of course, it will be scary, because we are afraid of uncertainty. If, on the contrary, you like something, you need to love it, but not be afraid of losing it. There is enough of everything in the world for everyone, there is no shortage. Live as you like and life itself will help you.
You can't predict what will happen, but you can live your life the way you want, break the limitations in your head and believe that you are on the right path. And so it will be.
The first step is to believe that things can be different;
The second is to overcome fear;
The third is to start changing something.
Good luck!
P.S.: Photos from Bali, taken on the cheapest Android smartphone at the moment when I broke the iPhone and went on a trip around the island. For inspiration!
