Creation of a website for a manual therapist in the Moscow region

All stages of creating a multi-page website

I would like to post such detailed articles about my work more often, but it doesn't work out. I want to tell as many important details as possible, plus perfectionism - in short, it's not fast!) But I try!

Andrey's calling and specialty is a manual therapist. He contacted me when I was in Bali. It was a very important moment for me then, because I was not 100% sure that I would be able to work fully and promote my services while being in another country. But that's not it. Andrey already had a website, but by today it was very outdated, so it was necessary to create a new one. At first, we corresponded in WhatsApp, discussing the goals and features of the future project, then we called each other - agreed on the timing and cost. The entire discussion took about 2 days, after which we started working.

I'll tell you straight away how we launched the site:
1) We decided on the type - it had to be a multi-page site with an individual design and the ability to add and change content. We also made a list of content that would be published on the future site;
2) Registered on a hosting and rented a domain. Yes, you can't buy a domain forever, you can only rent it for a year, and then renew it;
3) Then we split up. I was in charge of the design, while the customer was busy preparing the texts to fill the site. I couldn't help him here, because he is a pro in his specialty, and I don't understand anything. Here I need to make an important remark: the design should be modern and at the same time understandable, without frills, because many clients are older people, accordingly, the site should be understandable to them. For example, the site often contains contact information - this is done specifically so that a person can find a way to contact a doctor at any time;
4) When the design was ready, I sent samples for approval, after which I started the layout - converting the image into HTML code, which can be opened by the browser of any user anywhere in the world. The design does not have the ability to show interactive animations, however, I added them to the site to make the pages look more lively and interesting;
5) Next, I installed and configured the website management system, and also integrated our designer layout into it;
6) Uploaded pre-prepared content;
7) Connected the traffic statistics system - Yandex.Metrica;
8) Well, and finally there was a check and delivery of the project. At this stage, minor flaws are corrected and adjustments are made, there is no other way;
9) Andrey wanted to try to work with the site on his own, so he needed to be taught how to use the control system. I have a solution for such situations, which I have used more than once - I create a video clip with a recording of my computer screen, where I explain in detail how the control panel is arranged and show where to click to change the necessary blocks on the site. The result is a convenient video instruction with voiceover, which can be reviewed at any time to refresh your knowledge and make the necessary additions to the site. No programming knowledge is required for this. I do this for free for my clients.

One of the features of this site is the feedback system. I am sure that you do not see honest feedback everywhere. Let me explain.

Feedback on the site should not only be honest, but also look credible, and for this:

1) Any visitor to the site should be able to leave a review;
2) And from point one, the problem of spam and unscrupulous competitors immediately follows - after all, people can write advertisements or some bad things on your site. That is, you need protection from spam and a review moderation system;
3) I implement protection from spam with a simple check for humanity - asking to add two prime numbers, before a person can send a review;
4) But moderation is more complicated. At the moment of sending a review from the site, the customer receives a notification by email that someone left a review. And the review itself is saved in the system with the mark "Not approved". And only after Andrey goes to the site, checks the review and approves it - this review will appear on the pages of the site.

Whew, well, that seems to be it. Thanks for reading, I hope this was useful for you. If you have any questions, write to WhatsApp: +7 (920) 154-26-56.
